Single Lens for CO2 Lasers / SLZS

ZnSe is a crystal material that transmits light in the visible range and in the infrared range up to around 16μm. A lens for use in the infrared range was made from this material. It is used as a lens for CO2 lasers (10.6μm).

ZnSe is a crystal with excellent water resistance and can be used in optical systems like conventional optical elements.
It can be used in high-power lasers because it hardly absorbs light with a wavelength of 10.6μm.
By applying an anti-reflection coating, the reflection loss of CO2 laser light (10.6μm) is reduced, achieving a high transmittance of 99%.

Important: Treatment of ZnSe optics
ZnSe (Zinc selenide) is Poisonous and harmful substance classified as legal, depending on the specifications, the certificate of delivery may be required for acquisition of Poisonous and harmful substances. In addition, ZnSe Optics disposal after use is prohibited in general.
Lenses that are no longer needed, please return it to us.

However, we only take back products that we supplied. This policy noted is in Japan and other countries may differ in the treatment of ZnSe (Zinc selenide), please contact your local sales office.
